8:55pm: {all} Just got back from hospital yesterday and the amount of pain killers I'm on is... stupid. Like in the double figures each day in terms of number of pills. Oh, and I finished work on my new "now playing" forum siggy, here's a working copy of it http://www.mhc-studios.furtopia.org/spierwit/np/signature.php

7:23am: {all} Loads of stuff to catch up with in this entry, so let's get started. Feel free to let me know if I bore the arse off you :P

Grandmother died, got pretty upset over that.

Grandmother's Funeral... on CHRISTMAS EVE! ARRGH! Yeah, great thing to get you in the christmas spirit. :s However, my parents and I finally forgave each other at the funeral, but I'm still not living with them again, just keeping in touch without biting each others heads off for a change. Went to stay with David after the funeral, came back home January 3rd (Home being with my aunt and uncle, not my parents)

December 25th
First christmas in 5 years that hasn't resulted in a family argument so big thumbs up there. Also got some decent stuff (an optical mouse at last, a decent radio that doesn't seem to only pick up radio 3 along with the predictable sweets and socks I get most years :P )

ONE FULL YEAR IN THE FURRY FANDOM TODAY!!!! Oh, and possibly one of the best programs I've seen this year was on the telly as if to mark it called "pride". It's in the same tradition as the lion king only it was made completely of wildlife footage and some computer wizbangery. A MUST SEE if you liked the lion king (check out the BBC shop if you're interested)

And as for right now... I'm worried. I went for my monthly post operation check up a few days ago and I have to go back into hospital on Monday for another operation on my leg. The larger bone (can never remember which is thibia and which is tibia)
hasn't grown together properly so I'm going to be stuck in a hospital bed for at least another week getting it fixed :(

6:09am: {all} Well, I got back from my boyfriends yesterday. Feeling kinda lonely now, next time I'll be able to see him is when he travels down here for christmas, it can't come quickly enough. Oh, and I decided not to go through the scar removal operation: I've never been the sort of person who really gets self concious (sp?) about things like that and I checked to see if there were any practical benefits; there weren't. According to the docs my leg will heal to full strength with or without the op.

4:43am: {all} Errm... right. I have to decide by tomrrow whether I want another operation to remove/reduce the scar on my leg. I'm fairly sure I'm going to pass on it though, firstly because the scar's usually only uncovered when I'm in bed (I hate wearing shorts), secondly because I think I've cost the NHS enough money as it is and lastly because I've already had 3 operatons on it and to be quite frank I'm sick of them. If there's a practical reason for having it done such as increased mobility or something (I can't run anymore) then I'll probably go through with it, but otherwise I see no point in it.

8:27pm: {all} Just reformatted my hard drive for the second time in a night... damn I hate microsux! Given up on the Dual boot Linux/Windows scenario and stuck with Linux, even if it's slow

2:26pm: {all} Okay, computer back up and running with only one OS running on it for now, just got Mozilla Firefox re-installed. Found I've gone and forgotten my password for Furtopia though, have to e-mail one of the admins to reset it for me... *starts downloading stuff like crazy*

4:34am: {all} I... Hate... Partitions! I found that Linux had too big a partition on the HD to instal Open Office on the windows one, so I spent about an hour trying to find something to change the size of them last night. I ended up making a dogs dinner of it and it's an unstable POS now. I sense a reformat coming when I get home. :( Well, it's overdue for a major spring clean anyways I guess... Oh, and before anyone says "what's wrong with MS office?" 1) Open office is far smaller and does what I need it to 2) Open Office is free and 3) It was the best thing I have for the job except the Linux version which is far too slow on my PC.

9:13am: {all} This entry is simply to explain how I broke my leg, since I've been asked. Copied straight from the reply I gave to a comment left for that entry.

I was in edinburgh staying with my aunt and uncle and my dog was with us. Unfortunately they (now we) live on the edge of a main road and the garden is not exactly dog proof. One day she decided to take herself for a walk when my uncle opened the door, and to be honest I don't blame her, town must be such a boring place for animals to live, but unfortunately she has no road sense at all. I heard my uncle yelling and chasing after her and then I grabbed alead and went to try and catch her as quickly as possible and spotted her in the middle of the road. After that I guess I just panicked and rushed out to get her; next thing I knew I was hit by a transit van. Luckily the dog was okay, she ran off out of the way and up a neighbor's driveway where she was caught, but I ended up in hospital for 2 weeks with a broken leg and mild concussion. Not much else to tell really, that's basically all I remember of the accident.

7:34pm: {all} Well, just adding a new comment (totally forgot about this thing!) lots has happened since my last entry such as taking a whole load of heat at home when my parents found out I was gay and breaking my leg (damn, I care waay too much for animals). Not much good stuff has happened, but what's new? Soo... Just another few months in my totally randomised life covered, see ya again sometime in february :P

7:34am: {all} Random comment today, I guess. I dunno whether to be happy or worried, cos usually I very rarely dream, but in the last week I've had at least 3 if not four of them. Mostly very strange ones that make no sense, but the fact I'm dreaming again at all is strange. Hope I get to dream more though, because I always feel a lot more refreshed than when I've had no dreams at all. And I seem to be slowly getting over my insomnia problems as well. :)

6:45am: {all} Hooray! Finally got a decent job yesterday cleaning yahts at £5.00 an hour. (yeh, it's boring, but I feel it deserves an entry in the old log anyway.) *starts considering what to do with the money* =0.0=

11:38am: {all} Just gotten over a temporary panic as far as my net goes. went and almost deleted my Firefox profile, favorites, cache, the lot. Thank god for DOS mode anyway, if you know what you're doing (or with a little help from friends :D ) you can undo just about anything in DOS mode...

7:15am: {all} Halelujah! I dunno how or why, but my MD player's just started recording stuff again! (It went through about 3 months where it would just wipe disks if you tryed to record them, or even change the track names, order etc.) Anyway, I'm happy for a change :D

12th March 2004

4:57am: {all} Well, here I am! Here I'll be ranting about life in general or just getting random thoughts out of my head from time to time. Love the emticon set! ;)
