6:13pm: {all} Weee, I'm getting better already :) I haven't even had a sore throat. Just that weird hard swallow scraping feeling. But a nice bowl of Cap'n Crunch (omgoober me and my sugary cereal) fixed that problem really quickly. :)

MOM DON'T SPY ON ME!

She read my journal when I was away for a few minutes and then started grilling me about the mosque thing :( ISLAM DOES NOT OPPRESS WOMEN YOU GOOBER, IT'S THE COUNTRY, NOT THE RELIGION!

Yet she seems to overlook the fact that the Bible deems women unfit, while the Qur'an strives to make both genders equal. She thinks that being able to strip down into a bikini for beer ads in order to become the flesh slaves of men is what "equality" is.

What about those of us that want to preserve TRUE equality?!

*sigh* better not start a religious discussion...

8:09pm: {all} *sigh* Wanna go to the Mosque that's really close to here (only 3 miles)... too far away to walk to, just close enough to drive to and from in 10 minutes, but the only person that can take me there is sick. :\ This really sucks. Doesn't help that my mom's Catholic either. Even if I ran the whole way I wouldn't get there in time for Isha prayer if I went by foot. Don't know of any buses that drop off in that general area... don't have any money either.

Maybe I can bum a ride off of another Muslimah. Will have to ask one of them tomorrow. But I don't like bumming! Darnit.

Being a muslim in Kent is tough. Although I suppose it's better than being in Palestine.
