10:54am: Geez, it's been awhile since I last made an entry, hasn't it? Umm. I've been okay. Lots of school and work. o,o Christmas was good, quite good. New Years was fairly boring.

I just finished Half-life 2 last night, and I've been playing DDR almost every night, trying to tone myself up. It's working, albeit slowly.

10:14am: Propping! Propping is the crafting of realistic replicas of famous movie props, with fanatic attention to detail. I have decided on a low-key (read, lazy and long-term) propping project: A Ghostbusters proton pack. There are so many people who've built replicas of this particular prop, that the material available to help others is incredible. Detailed plans including physical dimensions, photo references pulled from the movies, lists of the original hardware used to make the packs, just on and on and on. So it'll be a heck of a lot easier to do this than say, the pulse rifle from Aliens, (though that's another popular propper project.)

Heck, if you had 1000 bucks or so to blow on this, you could have your pack done in a couple days once all the parts had arrived. But I'll be making mine from scratch mostly. I'm planning on wearing it to Anthrocon next year, along with my partial fursuit. The theme is 'heroes', and I think a Ghostbuster fits that pretty well. :K)

11:26pm: I love autumn. Love it. Love apple cider and fiery trees, crisp breezes and woodsmoke. I love harvest moons and eerie corn fields, and the tingling bottom-of-my-stomach magic-feeling on All Hallow's Eve. AND I WANT CANDY!

12:55pm: Well, I made another trip to the Ren-faire this Sunday, this time with Jamie Otterbein and Gazehound, a couple furs who live near the base where I work. I thought Jewel would come too, and perhaps some others, but no one ever showed when we waited out front. Ah well.
We ate 'tender loving chicken' and curly fries; Jamie bought a leather-bound book, I bought a smaller one, and a few pretty semi-precious stones. I would've seen and done and bought a lot more I'm sure, but Jamie got a call and needed to go see someone having a hard time, so we left early. I spent the rest of the day hanging out with Gaze and his housemates, going to the mall, and his grandma's place to take photos of a new litter of Italian greyhounds. We talked about cars, and dogs, and the SCA. :K) That was pretty much the weekend. I didn't do any homework. :K)

Oh! My laptop came! I bought a laptop from a guy on a modding forum who'd cut a hole in the laptop's lid to put a light in, and then gave up half

1:59pm: I had classes yesterday, but wimped out after math, skipping my art class to go home early. I didn't feel too great, and I was certainly tired. (I hate dozing off in math class, I'm sure it irritates poor Moez, but I just can't help it. x,x ) After walking through the bridge-tube connecting the 3rd floor of one of the school buildings with the parking garage, and descending to the first floor of the garage in search of my car, I hear this shout: "HEY! You're a retard! Hoo-hah-hah-hah!"
I turn, shocked, to make sure they're talking to *me*, and it's my younger brother. 9,9 Silly doofus. I walked over, shouting back how I was gonna kick his ass. He shushed me though, as he was on his cell with his girlfriend.
Anyways, got home and lazed online a bit. Dad got some gasoline for the mower, and had me go out and do my part of the lawn. (We have a big lawn. One acre. I think mowing it is a waste of time, effort, and money, but I never win that argument.) So I go out, bringing along my cheap

8:00pm: Squee! I bought a Saitek PC Gamers Keyboard today on my way home. It looks cool, it's built like a tank, and it has cool blue backlighting so you can type a bit easier in the dark! It also comes with a seperate numpad-type pad that you can program with macros. *re-squee!* I like it, and it looks good with my case. http://www17.tomshardware.com/game/200407311/keyboards-04.html Murrrrrrr...
In other news, the Morphicon Picnic yesterday in Columbus was uber-nifty. I met a lot of the Columbus furs, including Babs, who is just so cute. Anyways, homework time. I have to do a bit of math, answer some questions about my past in a 'how does this affect your acting onstage' context, and then draw a gigantic image of my own hand, with charcoal. Mew!

10:50am: I had a dream just before waking up (the final time) this morning, that I met Harrison Ford. My family was out at museum of some kind, that also included a television studio. Harrison was walking out of the studio proper into the museum, looking rumpled as he always does in the movies. I said 'Hi Mr. Ford!', of course not expecting anything more than a smile, a nod, or a brief wave. But he stopped, turned swiftly around, and gave me his hand. "Hey, what's your name?"
"I'm Josh!" "Well Josh, do you like checks?" Now, I *thought* he'd said 'chess' and thought (faintly) that perhaps he actually would like to play a game. But that's not what he said, was it? He pulls out his checkbook while I realize my mis-hearing. "What...? No..." "What, you don't want money?" "That, that's yours. You earned it, I couldn't..." He keeps looking up at me with this look, like he's testing me, fed-up with 'my type' as he perceives them. He mumbles '4 million dollars' as he scribbles on the check, w

1:04pm: The Ren-fest was a blast! I went with Loial, a local fur. I arrived just after 10:30, the time the gates were supposed to open. It wasn't terribly crowded, it was a gorgeous day with a fine breeze and not a cloud in the sky, and I had money to blow!
We watched some comic acts on a stage or two, very entertaining stuff. (Men acting like acting like idiots while doing a rather gymnastic swordfighting routine, for instance.) We bought some breadbowls filled with potato soup. Y'ever seen someone fresh from the military eat? It's...weird. You'll be half done, and he's just standing there staring at you as if you'd been chewing for hours. O,o
I didn't buy any swords. Some looked very nice, but none really jumped out at me. Instead I bought a pauldron (I think that's the term anyways,) of blue leather to wear on my shoulder. I also bought a feline-shaped leather mask, a scabbard-holder belt-attachment, (There's prolly a technical term for that, eh?) some semi-precious stones,

10:21am: Ugh. School started this Tuesday, and it kinda sucks. Classes include: Acting for the Non-Major; Intermediate Algebra, computer section; Drawing 1, charcoal/chalk, and finally Intro to Photoshop.

My Acting professor is a neat guy, but an attendance Nazi. One minute late is an tardy. Two tardies is an absence. Four abscences, he fails you outright.
He gave us the metaphor: Every day, a baby falls from a high-rise building. You're either there at the right time to catch it, or not.
My math professor is Moez Ben-azzouez (spelling questionable), and he's strict, boring, and takes a long time to make a point. Oy. At least his pace is slow enough that even I may be able to get a good math grade this quarter.
Art of course is laid back, but I had to blow over 80 bucks on supplies. o,o
Photoshop I haven't had yet, 'cuz it's on Saturday, much to my chagrin. x,x I have to be there at 9:00 on Saturday morning, every week for months. (254 characters remaining)

4:38pm: Last Friday I went to the drive-in with WhiteShepherd, Kada-ru, Bastian DuVane, SwiftWing, and two of Swifty's friends I can't recall names for, (Though we did shake hands. I'm BAD at names.)
Anyways, first we saw the new Resident Evil movie. It was your typical videogame-based movie, I'd say. Diehard fans of the games will probably like it a lot, but I found it a poor movie that couldn't really stand on its own. (I'd equate it with the Street Fighter movie actually. I wouldn't be surprised to find both were done by the same people.) Lots of guns, a big creepy guy, a nasty corporation, and tons of zombies. Two bad-ass chicks.

Next was Suspect Zero. I won't say much about this, other than "You ought to see it." Ben Kingsley was great. It's a psycho-thriller/CSI-ish/Murder mystery sort of thing. One a scale of Bone Collector to Silence of the Lambs, I give it an 8.

Finally, it was 'Without a Paddle.' Imagine The Goonies with yuppies instead of kids, and you'

9:51am: Hmm. I've been transcribing my old paper journals (Mostly from school) into Word documents, and I just started on my college creative writing course's journal. Here's one of the better poems I found within:

Fog is a lie, a crypt-gray moistness.
Once-friendly roads are cloaked deceptions of ear-splitting silence.
Smell of basements, London.
Fog is an artist, jeweler to fern, web and glass.
Fog is evenings wraithy refugee,
Cloud-strong fingers clutching
As the sun scorches it to nothing

More old poetry to come. My new computer case arrived yesterday, and I performed the transplant with no errors. Yay for me! It's quite a bit roomier than the old mid-tower case, and has room for more fans. It's got four in there right now, not counting the two in my power supply. If you want to google it for pictures, search for Aspire X-Alien. Mine is the version without the window. (If I want a window I'll cut it myself, thank you very much

4:19pm: Alrighty, movie-expedition this Friday! I'm going to go pick up a fur I haven't met before, (recently out of the Army,) and meet Jamie and perhaps Gazehound at a theatre near a local mall to see Hero. I'll see if anyone else'd like to come, but I'm betting it'll prolly just be us three. I hope I find the fur's house okay. I hope I don't get distracted talking with him and get in an accident. o,o I hope...umm...that the movie kicks ass like everyone's been saying. MAN am I inane today. o,o

12:58pm: Well, biggest development? Bugs. 3/4" black beetles in my room. Lots of them. I killed five of them last night alone, with a hairbrush. (It's like whack-a-mole.) That adds up to about...12 since last Friday I think. Those are just the ones foolish enough to cross empty tracts of barren carpet though. I'm sure there are plenty of wiser, more powerful bugs waiting for their chance to...I dunno, crawl into my bed and bug me? There isn't much to eat in my room...

Anyways, I want them gone. We may bomb the house in an insect jihad. Die, infidel beetle scum!

Mm. Oh, I saw Father of the Pride last night on NBC. Good stuff! I expected better from the Shrek people in the way of writing though... It wasn't as clever as the stuff from the movies. Well, here's hoping they find their groove, and exploit the humor inherent in animals, instead of turning it into a sitcom with characters who happen

2:59pm: Well, I went to Computerfest. It was, as expected, rather sucky. It had shrunk since last year, reduced by 1/3 at least... But I still found a few things to buy. A copy of Civilization III, Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne, a 'lava lamp' USB cable, a pair of headphones, and 4 skull-shaped thumbscrews.

I saw Tigerwolf there, and we met later on for dinner at the Golden Corral with four other furs: Jamie Otterbein, Senajit, Bastian DuVane, and...Soltris, that's right. We ate food, and generally had a pretty good time. It rained hard both ways though, which was pretty unnerving at times. (Blasted construction, ill-painted lane-lines...bad combination.)

Played s'more KOTOR, became a Jedi padawan, a Consular with a green lightsaber. Woohoo! I mediate! (Heh, mostly I still just kill people and critters.) Joined Furcadia to check out a Vore Cl
